The County Government of Kakamega has unveiled a major recruitment drive, inviting qualified and self-driven individuals to apply for various positions across key departments.
This move signals the county’s continued efforts to enhance service delivery, promote inclusive economic development, empower the youth, and strengthen its human resource capacity.
In a public notice issued through the County Public Service Board (CPSB), the government emphasized its commitment to creating a professional environment that encourages innovation, growth, and impact-driven public service.

The newly advertised vacancies cover a wide range of disciplines including administration, education, legal affairs, sports, youth development, economic planning, livestock production, industrial growth, and cultural promotion. Among the featured roles are:
- Administration Officer II – tasked with coordinating departmental logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with county administrative procedures.
- Community Administrator III – responsible for facilitating public participation, overseeing grassroots service delivery, and supporting community development initiatives.
- Assistant ECDE Teacher III – will support early childhood learning through lesson delivery, assessments, and inclusive learning support.
- Assistant Polytechnic Instructor – expected to offer technical and vocational training in county polytechnics.
- Municipal Managers for Butere, Malava, and Matunda – will provide leadership and coordination of services within their respective municipalities.
- Economist / Statistician – tasked with socio-economic data analysis, policy planning, and investment advisory.
- Social Development Officer – to lead programs focused on vulnerable groups and community empowerment.

- Industrial Development Officer – will identify and support industrial ventures including value addition and cottage industries.
- Deputy Director of Livestock Production – a senior role leading livestock productivity, animal health, and food security strategies.
