Police on Thursday, October 16, 2025, fired tear gas at Kasarani Stadium, dispersing thousands of Kenyans who had gathered at the venue.
Footage obtained by FMFIX HUB shows mourners and spectators fleeing in panic as clouds of tear gas filled the 48,000-capacity stadium.
Officers could be seen chasing sections of the crowd as chaos unfolded inside the facility.

Witnesses reported that the situation escalated when the crowd, which had been chanting and pushing to access restricted sections, overwhelmed the police barriers.
Officers responded by firing multiple rounds of tear gas to restore order.
Within minutes, the stadium — which had moments earlier been packed to capacity — was virtually empty as attendees ran for safety.
Emergency teams were deployed to assist those affected by the tear gas, including elderly citizens and women who were caught in the commotion.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the unrest or whether there were any injuries or arrests.
The incident comes amid heightened national mourning following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, whose return to the country earlier in the day had drawn massive crowds in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
