The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the positions of General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets (Regular and Graduate), Specialist Officers, and Tradesmen/Women.
In a notice issued on Saturday, October 25, 2025, KDF invited successful applicants to attend interviews and selection exercises scheduled for various dates and venues across the country.
“The shortlisted candidates are hereby invited for interviews and selection on the dates and locations indicated below,” read the KDF notice in part.

According to the schedule, the interviews will take place as follows:
- GSO Cadets (Regular) – Report to the Kenya Military Academy, Lanet, Nakuru, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
- GSO Cadets (Graduate) – Report to the same venue on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
- Specialist Officers – Report on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
- Tradesmen and Tradeswomen – Report to the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata, Nairobi, on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
KDF directed all shortlisted candidates to present themselves in person with the following documents:
- Original National ID card
- Academic and professional certificates
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Any other relevant testimonials
- Four photocopies of each document
The military assured applicants that food and accommodation will be provided during the interview period. Candidates who are not selected will be reimbursed travel expenses in accordance with KDF regulations. Participants were also advised to carry warm clothing due to expected cold weather conditions at the venues.
KDF emphasized that the recruitment and selection process is free and merit-based, cautioning applicants and the public against engaging in any form of bribery or corruption.
“Anyone found engaging in recruitment-related malpractice will be arrested and prosecuted,” KDF warned, urging the public to report such incidents to the nearest police station or military camp, or via hotline numbers 0726 419 706 and 0726 419 709.

The announcement follows the conclusion of a nationwide KDF recruitment drive that began on September 15, 2025, during which qualified Kenyan citizens were invited to apply for positions including GSO Cadets, Specialist Officers, General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen/Women, and Defence Forces Constables.
Applications for these roles were conducted exclusively through the official KDF recruitment portal, https://recruit.mod.go.ke.
