Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala has accused the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of secretly ferrying its secretariat staff and agents to Uganda for alleged paramilitary training.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, January 27, Malala claimed he had credible information indicating that UDA personnel were being taken across the border for training, raising concerns over the party’s intentions.
Malala challenged UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar to publicly dispute the claims, insisting that he was ready to present photographic evidence to support his allegations.

“UDA Party is taking secretariat staff and agents to Uganda for paramilitary training. I have reliable information, and I want the Secretary General of UDA to challenge me,” Malala said.
“We will produce photographic evidence and require them to present their passports.”
The former UDA Secretary General further alleged that Omar and other senior UDA officials had been in Uganda for close to 60 days, questioning the nature and purpose of their stay.
Malala demanded that the ruling party comes clean on the activities being undertaken by its staff in Uganda.
“We want the UDA party to tell us what they are training their secretariat and what training is being done in Uganda,” he added.
UDA had not immediately responded to the allegations by the time of publication.
The DCP deputy party leader’s claims come days after he made explosive allegations regarding Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed’s role during the 2022 General Election.
Speaking on Tuesday, January 20, Malala alleged that Junet secretly collaborated with President William Ruto’s camp while the president was running against the late ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“The other day you saw Edwin Sifuna saying that Junet Mohammed ate money meant for agents. I want to confirm that here, in this interview today,” Malala said.
“I was William Ruto’s right-hand man. We were in UDA. At night, Junet used to come to see William Ruto and brief him on everything.”
Malala further claimed that Junet supplied Ruto’s team with sensitive operational details about ODM’s grassroots structures across the country.
“We even had a list of ODM agents across the country. We knew who was going to be an ODM agent in which place, courtesy of Junet,” he alleged.
Neither Junet Mohammed nor the ODM party had issued an official response to the claims at the time of publication.
