Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) has officially declared vacancies for Part-Time TVET Trainer positions for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
In a public notice issued by the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic, Student Affairs and Research), the university invited applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill teaching positions across 23 different courses.
The recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening JOOUST’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes by engaging competent trainers in diverse fields.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BA, or Bachelor of Technology) in the relevant field or a closely related discipline. In addition, candidates must have:
- Relevant training experience
- TVETA Training Certification
- Pedagogical skills (considered an added advantage)
The university emphasized that applicants must clearly indicate their area of specialization, academic qualifications, work experience, and current workplace.
