Tensions flared in Kehancha on Sunday after a shoe was hurled at President William Ruto during a public address, briefly disrupting his speech and triggering a swift security response.
Police in Kuria West have since arrested three individuals believed to be involved in the incident.
According to a security officer privy to the investigation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, preliminary findings point to possible political motives behind the act, with authorities not ruling out premeditation.
