This amount is significantly lower than his previous earnings at Manchester United, where he reportedly pocketed £40,500 (KSh 6.6 million) per week. However, his contract with FKF includes performance-based bonuses that could see him earn more if he meets specific targets.
The incentives in McCarthy’s contract are tied to key objectives, such as improving Kenya’s FIFA ranking and making significant progress in major tournaments, including the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
