A 16-year-old boy in Nyakiambi, Molo Sub-county, Nakuru, has shocked residents after confessing to brutally murdering his mother following a disagreement over the identity of his biological father.
According to a police report from Elburgon Police Station, the minor—identified as A.G., a Form Three dropout—allegedly attacked his mother on Friday, July 25, around 1:00 p.m. when she refused to reveal who his biological father was.
The gruesome incident came to light on Sunday after the victim’s brother alerted authorities, stating that his sister had been killed inside her house.

Investigations reveal that after committing the heinous act, the boy spent Saturday digging a shallow grave in a nearby house within the compound, allegedly planning to bury the body early Sunday morning to conceal the crime.
Police arrested the teenager on Sunday and took him into custody. The body of the deceased was transferred to the Elburgon Level IV Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
This tragic incident has left residents of Nyakiambi reeling in shock, with authorities urging the public to seek psychosocial support and report domestic disputes early before they escalate to violence.
The motive behind the murder, reportedly tied to unresolved family issues, is still under investigation.
