The National Police Service (NPS) has officially announced its recruitment exercise scheduled for 8th to 18th October 2025, inviting qualified Kenyans to apply for various positions within the service.
According to the notice, the recruitment will take place across all counties and sub-counties, ensuring equal opportunity for youth nationwide to serve their country.
The NPS emphasized that the exercise will be conducted in line with the law, with a strong focus on fairness, transparency, and merit.

Entry Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Hold a valid Kenyan National Identity Card (ID).
- Be aged between 18 and 28 years for holders of KCSE, and up to 30 years for diploma and degree holders.
- Have a minimum academic qualification of D+ (plus) in KCSE with at least D+ (plus) in English or Kiswahili.
- Be of good character, without a criminal record.
- Meet the required medical and physical fitness standards.
- Female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during training.
How to Apply
- Interested candidates are required to report in person to designated recruitment centers in their respective counties and sub-counties on the recruitment day.
- Applicants must carry the following:
- Original National ID card.
- Original and photocopies of academic certificates.
- Other relevant supporting documents as outlined by the NPS.
- The recruitment exercise is free of charge, and no one should pay any money to secure a slot.
- Successful candidates will undergo further vetting, medical examinations, and training before being absorbed into service.
The Service urged applicants to avoid fraudsters, stressing that any form of corruption or malpractice will lead to disqualification and legal action.
“We encourage all eligible Kenyans to take part in this opportunity to serve the nation. Any form of corruption or malpractice will not be tolerated,” the NPS statement read.
Successful recruits will join the service in various capacities, ranging from General Duty Police Constables to specialized units.
This move comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and enhance service delivery across the country.
