A tragic road accident claimed the life of one person and left two others injured after a vehicle lost control and crashed before bursting into flames near Majengo area along the Kisumu–Kakamega Highway on the evening of Thursday, September 18.
Photos obtained by FMFIX Hub showed the vehicle engulfed in flames, with the fire concentrated at the front section, suggesting it may have originated from the engine.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle veered off the road and caught fire immediately on impact.

Motorists and residents rushed to the scene to assist with rescue efforts before security agencies and emergency services arrived.
The two injured victims were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The number of passengers in the ill-fated car was yet to be confirmed by press time.
Isebania–Migori Highway Crash
The incident came barely a day after another fatal road accident on the Isebania–Migori highway, where two people died and seven others sustained injuries.
The crash, which occurred on Wednesday, September 17 in Mabera area, Migori County, involved a speeding Probox and an oncoming trailer.
According to Kuria West Sub-County Police Commander Reuben Bett, the Probox, which was ferrying passengers to Isebania, lost control and rammed into the trailer at a bridge. The driver of the Probox was among the deceased.
Those critically injured were rushed to Akidiva Hospital, where the deceased were also taken to the mortuary. Police and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and offer medical support.
These two accidents highlight the growing concern over road safety, as authorities continue to urge motorists to exercise caution on Kenyan highways.
