A wave of shock and fear has gripped residents of Aora Olemo village in Lwala Sub-location, Suba South Sub-county, after the lifeless body of a 27-year-old man was discovered under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Jeckoniah Otila, was found tied to a tree deep in the bushes, in what police suspect to be a brutal murder. His half-naked body was positioned in a sitting posture, with his hands tightly bound behind his back and fastened to the tree trunk.

The grim discovery was made by a local resident who was passing through the area. Authorities say Otila’s body bore visible injuries on multiple parts, suggesting he was assaulted with blunt objects before his death.

Suba South Sub-county Police Commander Caxton Ndunda confirmed the incident, stating that early investigations point to a case of premeditated murder.
