Police in Nairobi say investigations are ongoing into the mysterious death of Zaituni Kavaya, who died while working at a building in Kilimani.
A postmortem report received by her family revealed that she succumbed to blunt force trauma. However, fresh video footage obtained by Citizen Digital has shed more light on the events leading to her death, raising further questions.
In the footage, a man wearing a white shirt is seen on the fifth floor holding Kavaya briefly before letting her go. She then manages to descend to the fourth floor and later the third, where three women appear to engage her.

Moments later, she is seen struggling as the area has glass enclosures, before she eventually falls.
The exclusive video shows her in a blue outfit with red and black blotches, moving from floor to floor before the tragic fall.
On Wednesday, her relatives, accompanied by members of the domestic workers’ union, staged protests demanding justice.
They marched from Kibera, where she lived, to Kilimani before meeting Kilimani Police Commander Patricia Yegon.
“We have this case, and we are still investigating. Zaituni will get her justice,” said Commander Yegon.
The case has now sparked public concern, with her family and supporters insisting on accountability.
All eyes remain on investigators to establish what exactly transpired in the final moments of Kavaya’s life.
