Full List: Kakamega County Shortlists Candidates for Sub-County Coordinator Positions

The County Government of Kakamega has released the names of candidates shortlisted for the position of Sub-County Coordinators under the County Youth Service and Women Empowerment Programme (CYSWEP).

According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender and Culture, interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted at Bishop Stam, located along the Kakamega-Webuye Road, beginning June 2, 2026.

The recruitment exercise will cover all 13 sub-counties in Kakamega County, including Likuyani, Lugari, Malava East, Malava West, Lurambi, Navakholo, Shinyalu, Ikolomani, Khwisero, Butere, Mumias East, Mumias West and Matungu.

Candidates shortlisted for Likuyani, Lugari, Malava East, Malava West, Lurambi and Navakholo sub-counties are scheduled to attend interviews on June 2, 2026, while those from Shinyalu, Ikolomani, Khwisero, Butere, Mumias East, Mumias West and Matungu will be interviewed on June 3, 2026.

The county government has directed all shortlisted candidates to report to the interview venue by 8:00 a.m. and carry their original and photocopies of national identification cards, academic and professional certificates, as well as testimonials.

The recruitment forms part of efforts by the County Youth Service and Women Empowerment Programme to strengthen service delivery and coordination of youth and women empowerment initiatives across the county.

A total of 130 candidates have been shortlisted across the 13 sub-counties, with each sub-county having ten shortlisted applicants competing for the coordinator positions.
